Reading a book, leaving aside the hustle and bustle, setting aside the redundancy, experiencing the taste of life in the silence, filtering out the impetuous mind in the sea of books, is undoubtedly a beautiful enjoyment to delight the vicissitudes of life.
August 12, is the International Youth Day, in order to create a good learning atmosphere, enrich the cultural life of employees and improve their cultural quality, on this day, Holley Technology successfully held the first phase of Holley Technology’s Book Sharing Meeting in the conference room, and more than ten readers from various departments participated in this activity.
After a brief introduction of the book sharing session by the host, the book club started with a fun little game of “Idiom Solitaire”, and everyone expressed their vocabulary to their heart’s content. After a few rounds of competing, the top three winners of this game came to the fore and each took home small prizes.
Next, it was time for the readers to share their favorite books. “What Life Could Mean To You” illuminated on low self-esteem not being something one needed to be afraid or worry about, but rather recognize and overcome it; “The Power of the Present” urges us to analyze ourselves, to raise self-awareness , to be able to improve and also present oneself; “The Five Kinds Of Time” taught us how to break the structure of time, to reshape the concept of time, and to improve the efficiency of time management; “Wuthering Heights” showed us a picture of a perverse society. Wuthering Heights shows us a picture of life in a deformed society, outlining the human nature that has been distorted by this deformed society and the horrific events it has caused; “Totto-Chan The Little Girl At The Window” aims to show that in ecological education, if we want to develop our children’s intelligence, we must pay attention to other related aspects of their development; “Moments We Shared” makes us understand that some losses are inevitable, and that we must keep pushing till the end regardless; “Big Five Decoding Leadership Genes” helped us discover and bring out our inner leadership; “Who Moved My Cheese” explained that change is the only constant truth in the world
In the third session, the facilitator shared with the bibliophiles a highly effective reading method – the RIA method. The RIA method is divided into three parts: reading, interpretation and appropriation. RIA is a reading method which helps people to understand the book more easily.
At the end of the event was a book exchange session, where each book lover wrote down information and recommendations on their reading cards prior to the event, and exchanged their favorite books to pass on their knowledge and share their experiences.
In order to facilitate interaction and communication among book lovers, an online exchange group has been set up for the book sharing session, and a variety of both online and offline activities will be carried out in the future to share knowledge and convey the concept of lifelong learning.
Reading can increase our own connotation and improve our own cultivation.
Reading can broaden our horizons and keep us abreast of current affairs at home and abroad.
Reading is a kind of enjoyment, we can find happiness in books, cultivate our sentiments and understand the truth of being a human being.
